TCS Advances Plans for Additional AI Data Centers in India

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed an agreement with OpenAI to build AI data centers in India and is in advanced talks with other major tech companies to expand this infrastructure. CEO K Krithivasan highlighted India's projected need for about 10 gigawatts of AI data center capacity by 2030, with current announcements covering only half that. TCS aims to address this demand amid challenges like rising competition, US visa policies, and AI-driven industry shifts, while seeking to clarify its AI strategy to investors and clients.
