Taiwanese prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, accusing him of illegally recruiting over 70 engineers in Taiwan since 2014 without government approval. The charges allege violations of Taiwan's Act Governing Relations Between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area, aimed at restricting unauthorized Chinese business operations. Two Taiwanese nationals have also been indicted for assisting Lau. The case reflects Taiwan's broader efforts to prevent technology and talent outflows amid rising cross-strait tensions. OnePlus and Oppo have not commented on the allegations.
