Smallcap World Fund Increases Stake in Shaily Engineering Plastics by Over 2 Percent

Smallcap World Fund Inc., a US-based mutual fund managed by Capital Group, increased its stake in Shaily Engineering Plastics by approximately 2.04 percent through bulk deals on March 12, 2026, acquiring over 9.4 lakh shares valued at around Rs 177 crore. The fund previously held a 5.09 percent stake. Shaily Engineering, backed by investor Ashish Kacholia, reported a 48.3 percent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 37.38 crore and a 26.8 percent increase in revenue to Rs 250.50 crore in Q3 FY26 compared to the previous year.
