Several oil tankers, including the Matilda and Delta Harmony, were attacked by drones near the Caspian Pipeline Consortium's (CPC) Black Sea terminal, disrupting Kazakhstan's crude exports. The attacks, which caused minor damage and no crew injuries, follow a November drone strike on CPC infrastructure. Kazakhstan's foreign ministry has called on the US and Europe to help secure oil transport amid rising risks. The incidents have contributed to a 35% drop in Kazakh oil output in early January and increased shipping insurance costs. Ukraine has not commented on the attacks, while CPC and involved companies have limited responses.
