Two software engineers from Bengaluru working in Japan shared that entry-level salaries start at about 3 million yen (approximately Rs 17 lakh) annually, increasing to around 4.5 to 5 million yen (about Rs 30 lakh) after two to three years of experience. They also mentioned paying close to Rs 3 lakh in taxes each year, highlighting the financial aspects and tax obligations faced by Indian tech professionals in Japan.
