
The Central Government has allocated coal linkage under the SHAKTI Scheme for an 800 MW expansion unit at the Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant in Khedar, Hisar district, Haryana. Energy Minister Anil Vij stated this will ensure a steady, long-term coal supply, accelerating project implementation and enhancing the state's power generation capacity. The expansion aims to provide reliable electricity to industrial, agricultural, and domestic consumers, supporting Haryana's goal of energy security and self-reliance.
