Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs 201.23 crore project from East Coast Railway to establish a wagon periodical overhaul workshop at Kantabanji. The workshop will have a capacity for 200 wagons and is expected to be completed within 18 months. RVNL was the sole bidder for this domestic contract, which adds to its existing order book. The company also recently secured another traction power project worth Rs 145.35 crore from Southern Railway.
