Delhi Plans EV Policy 2.0 with Battery Recycling and Expanded Charging Infrastructure

Delhi is preparing to launch its Electric Vehicle Policy 2.0, which will introduce a dedicated framework for EV battery recycling overseen by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee. The policy aims to support rapid EV adoption through incentives, including possible exemptions on road tax and registration fees for certain vehicles. Additionally, the government plans to expand public charging infrastructure, targeting 5,000 stations by 2030, with Delhi Transco Limited managing deployment and operations to strengthen the city's EV ecosystem.
