India and New Zealand Finalize Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement

India and New Zealand have concluded negotiations for a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (FTA), aiming to double bilateral trade within five years. India will gain zero-duty access for all goods exports to New Zealand, while New Zealand receives duty concessions on 70% of its exports to India. The agreement includes commitments for New Zealand to invest $20 billion in India over 15 years, focusing on manufacturing, infrastructure, and innovation. India secured commitments across 118 services, including IT and professional services, and provisions for 5,000 temporary employment visas for Indian professionals.
