
Airbus inaugurated a new Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru, expanding its engineering, digital, customer service, and procurement operations in India. The 880,000 sq ft facility can accommodate around 5,000 employees and supports multiple aircraft lifecycle stages. Airbus's sourcing from India has grown from $500 million in 2019 to over $1.5 billion currently, involving more than 100 Indian suppliers. The centre aims to enhance technological capabilities and innovation, aligning with Airbus's Make in India strategy and global value chain integration.
