Aurobindo Pharma's subsidiary, Auro Pharma, has acquired Khandelwal Laboratories' non-oncology prescription formulations business for Rs 325 crore in a cash deal. The transaction, effective January 1, expands Aurobindo's domestic market presence in pain management and anti-infective segments with 23 brands and nine pipeline products. No government or regulatory approvals were required for the slump sale, which does not involve acquiring equity shares or control of Khandelwal Labs. Aurobindo's stock saw a positive response to the news.
