Tripura Hosts First Global Pineapple Festival in Delhi to Promote Queen Pineapple
Tripura is hosting the first-ever Global Pineapple Festival in New Delhi from June 27 to 29, coinciding with International Pineapple Day. The event highlights Tripura's renowned Queen Pineapple, featuring cultural performances, artisan markets, and a three-day international exhibition with 25 stalls and participation from farmers, policymakers, and buyers. The state aims to expand pineapple cultivation by 3,000 hectares over three years and boost value addition through projects supported by the central government. Five farmers will be honored during the festival, which promotes agricultural exports and local culture.
