
India's LPG consumption fell sharply by 17.7% in the first half of March due to supply disruptions linked to the West Asia conflict, with imports affected by closures around the Strait of Hormuz. The government reduced LPG supplies to commercial users to prioritize households. Meanwhile, petrol and diesel sales increased, with petrol up 13.2% and diesel up 8.2%. Jet fuel consumption declined amid airspace closures. LPG demand had previously grown steadily by 3-4% annually, driven by government initiatives.
