IndiGo's parent company, InterGlobe Aviation, has been issued a Goods and Services Tax (GST) penalty order totaling over Rs 458 crore. The penalty relates to GST demands, interest, and penalties on compensation from foreign suppliers and denial of input tax credit for fiscal years 2018-19 to 2022-23. IndiGo stated it strongly believes the order is erroneous and not in accordance with the law, and plans to contest it through legal remedies, asserting it will not significantly impact the company's financials or operations.
