Trane Technologies Enhances Cooling Solutions to Support Heat Resilience in India

Trane Technologies has advanced its Cooling Carts and Cooling Vests to help protect vulnerable communities in India from extreme heat. Developed with the Shell Foundation, these solutions aim to reduce food waste and heat stress among outdoor workers. Since 2022, 100 Cooling Carts have been deployed to support market vendors, while 7,000 of 12,000 Cooling Vests are undergoing trials with construction and delivery workers. The initiative recently received the Vanguard Award for its innovation in worker health protection.
