Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has seen its workforce decrease by approximately 30,000 employees over the last two quarters. While around 7,800 exits are attributed to a restructuring program, an estimated 22,200 departures are due to voluntary attrition and other factors, influenced by a slowdown in hiring. The company states it continues to hire from campuses and lateral markets, releasing employees only when redeployment fails. This headcount reduction occurs amid AI adaptation and ongoing restructuring efforts.
