
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is investigating Nike for alleged discrimination against white employees linked to its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies and 2025 workforce targets. The EEOC filed a federal court action to compel Nike to provide information on layoffs, hiring, promotions, and race-restricted programs. Nike stated it is cooperating and called the subpoena an unusual escalation. EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas, appointed by former President Trump, has criticized DEI initiatives and is leading the inquiry.
