Indian Railways has completed the electrification of a challenging terrain route at a cost of Rs 93.55 crore, a project initiated in December 2023. The work involved overhead electrification and the construction of five switching stations, enabling speeds up to 120 kmph. Safety measures include restricting the span between traction poles to 67.5 metres for operational reliability.
