
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is preparing to address potential anti-competitive practices in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector, including algorithmic collusion, price discrimination, and concentration in the AI value chain, according to Chairperson Ravneet Kaur. The regulator encourages self-audits by stakeholders to prevent hidden anti-competitive outcomes. NITI Aayog member Rajiv Gauba emphasized balancing innovation with preventing digital monopolies and highlighted AI-driven competition risks. CCI is also examining other sectors like renewable energy, sports, and civil aviation.
