The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has extended its property tax rebate scheme, Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana (SUNIYO), until January 31. This allows taxpayers to receive a full waiver on property tax, interest, and penalties for the 2020-21 financial year and earlier, provided they pay the principal tax for the current and previous five years. The scheme has already benefited over 166,000 taxpayers, collecting ₹803.61 crore, including from new taxpayers.
