Rozana, a rural commerce startup founded in 2021, has raised approximately Rs 290 crore (around $30 million) in a Series B funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments, with participation from Fireside Ventures, Spark Growth Ventures, and others. The company operates an omnichannel model across 21,000 villages in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, selling staples, FMCG, apparel, and more. The funds will support expansion to over 200 stores, entry into new states in the Gangetic belt, technology upgrades, private label development, and deeper brand partnerships. Rozana reported a fourfold revenue increase since its last round but also noted widening net losses.
