The India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is anticipated to be implemented in the first half of 2026, according to British Deputy High Commissioner Andrew Fleming. This ambitious pact, covering 26 sectors, aims to double bilateral trade to $112 billion and grant Indian exporters duty-free access for 99% of their products to the UK market. The agreement is expected to create opportunities for businesses of all sizes, particularly in East and Northeast India, and enhance services trade, including IT professional mobility.
