
Maruti Suzuki India Limited plans to invest Rs 35,000 crore to build a new manufacturing plant in Khoraj, Gujarat, on 1,750 acres provided by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation. The facility, expected to begin production by financial year 2029, will add an annual capacity of one million vehicles, increasing Maruti Suzuki's total capacity to around 4 million units. The project aims to generate over 12,000 jobs and boost ancillary industries, aligning with the 'Make in India' initiative and strengthening Gujarat's position as an automobile hub.
