
The Assam government signed 'Confirmation of Investment' agreements with 69 companies worth Rs 1.67 lakh crore, aiming to generate around one lakh direct and indirect jobs. These agreements, involving major firms like Adani Defence Aerospace and Oil India Ltd, build on commitments from the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, which saw MoUs worth Rs 5.18 lakh crore. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted these investments as key to accelerating industrial growth and diversifying Assam's economy.
