
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) net sold Indian equities worth Rs 2,760 crore on December 29, marking the second-highest sell-off in December. Concurrently, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers, purchasing shares worth Rs 2,644 crore. For the year, FPIs have sold Rs 2.84 lakh crore, while DIIs have bought Rs 7.72 lakh crore. Indian equity markets closed lower amid cautious trading ahead of derivatives expiry and FPI outflows.
