
Bajel Projects secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract worth over Rs 700 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) for establishing a 400/220 kV Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) substation and associated transmission lines at Saswad, Pune. The turnkey project, to be completed within 23 months, includes design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning. The order was awarded through MSETCL's special purpose vehicle, Saswad Transmission. Bajel recently partnered with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and AnantGrid to support its transmission projects. Following the announcement, Bajel's shares rose by up to 13 percent, reflecting investor interest in the company's expanded EPC capabilities.
