The Sindhudurg Airport in Maharashtra has received approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for 24x7 all-weather operations, including during low visibility and adverse weather. This certification for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) enhances the airport's reliability and operational capabilities. The upgrade is expected to boost airline confidence, support traffic growth, and contribute to the economic and tourism development of the Konkan region. A new Mumbai-Sindhudurg route is anticipated to launch soon under the regional connectivity scheme.
