Private equity investments in Indian real estate decreased by 29% to approximately USD 3.5 billion in 2025, according to Knight Frank India. This decline is attributed to cautious investor sentiment and a recalibration of capital deployment, particularly impacting housing and warehousing sectors. Office assets, however, continued to attract the largest share of investments, accounting for 58% of total inflows. A recovery to around USD 4.4 billion is projected for 2026, driven by selective growth opportunities.
