Indian AC Makers Raise Prices 5-15% Ahead of Summer Due to Rising Costs

Leading air conditioner manufacturers in India, including Daikin, Voltas, Blue Star, LG, Haier, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, are raising prices by 5-15% between February and April ahead of the summer season. The hikes are driven by increased costs of raw materials like copper, a weakening rupee, higher freight expenses, and new energy-efficiency norms. Despite higher prices, industry executives expect strong sales growth in 2026, anticipating a hotter summer and demand similar to 2024's record levels.
