India's cleantech sector has seen a 56.6% rise in recruitment over two years, driven by policy support and investments in green energy, according to a CIEL HR report. Delhi NCR leads with 44% of job openings, followed by tier II and III cities at 30%, and metros like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune. While hiring growth has moderated recently, the sector remains strong with a 13.4% year-on-year headcount increase. The report notes a talent gap in advanced renewable technologies and a gender imbalance in the workforce.
