
Saudi Aramco is seeking to reroute some crude oil exports from the Persian Gulf to its Red Sea port of Yanbu to avoid disruptions at the Strait of Hormuz caused by regional conflicts and attacks. While the East-West Pipeline offers an alternative route with a capacity of around 5 million barrels per day, it cannot handle all exports and faces security risks. The company has informed some buyers about shifting loadings to Yanbu amid ongoing concerns over shipping safety and recent attacks on Saudi facilities.
