The Insolvency Bankruptcy Code (IBC) remained the primary tool for resolving stressed assets in FY25, with its recovery rate increasing to 36.5% from 28.3% the previous year. Overall recovery rates, however, saw only a marginal improvement from 17.2% to 18% between FY24 and FY25, despite the IBC accounting for over half of the total Rs 1,04,099 crore recovered. Recovery rates under the SARFAESI Act also saw an increase.
