Delhi Ranks Third in Electric Vehicle Adoption with 11.6% Penetration in FY 2024-25

Delhi ranked third nationally in electric vehicle (EV) adoption with an 11.6% penetration rate in the financial year 2024-25, according to a Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) study. Chandigarh led with 12.1%, followed by Goa at 11.9%. Delhi's EV adoption spans two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and public transport, including nearly 40% electric buses. National EV penetration stood at 7.49%, with variations attributed to local policies and incentives.
