The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved 22 new projects worth ₹41,863 crore under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). This brings the total approved projects to 46, with a projected production value of ₹2,58,152 crore and the creation of 33,791 direct jobs. The scheme, with a budget of ₹22,919 crore over six years, has attracted significant interest from domestic and global investors, with 249 applications proposing substantial investments and employment generation.
