Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), part of the Tata Group, has sold its entire 25.52% stake in Taj GVK Hotels Resorts Ltd to promoter-shareholder Shalini Bhupal for Rs 592 crore. This transaction ends IHCL's ownership and terminates agreements, including the use of the 'Taj' name. IHCL's nominee directors have resigned from the board, and the company will rebrand. IHCL will continue operating existing hotels under current agreements.
