Himachal Pradesh Exports First Cherry and Plum Consignment to Oman by Air
Himachal Pradesh exported its first consignment of 400 kg each of cherries and plums to Oman via air cargo, flagged off by Revenue and Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi. The fruits, grown by six farmers from Shimla district, mark a milestone for the state's horticulture sector. The initiative, supported by HPMC and APEDA, aims to open new international markets, especially in the Middle East, and improve farmers' incomes. Future plans include expanding exports to apples and other produce.
