
India's first high-speed rail corridor, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, is advancing with significant infrastructure development. As of December 21, 2025, over 331 km of viaduct and 410 km of pier work are complete on the 508 km route. Seventeen river bridges, five PSC bridges, and eleven steel bridges have been finished, alongside 272 track km of concrete track bed. Over 4,100 overhead equipment masts have been installed, and major tunneling is underway in Maharashtra. The project aims to reduce travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
