Emergent Raises $70 Million; Wingify Acquires AB Tasty; PhonePe IPO Approved

Emergent, a seven-month-old AI coding startup, has raised $70 million from Khosla Ventures and SoftBank, tripling its valuation to about $300 million. The funding will support team expansion, product development, and market growth amid rising demand for AI-assisted software creation. Separately, private equity firm Everstone's portfolio company Wingify is acquiring Paris-based AB Tasty for $150-200 million, creating a combined entity valued at approximately $500 million with over 800 employees globally. Additionally, PhonePe has received Sebi approval for its IPO.
