Gujarat Plans Satellite Launchpad and Space Park to Boost Space Sector

The Gujarat government plans to establish a satellite launchpad near Kodinar in Gir Somnath district, identified after consultations with IN-SPACe, to enhance the state's space sector. This initiative follows the launch of the Gujarat SpaceTech Policy in April 2025, the first state-level policy for space technology development. Additionally, a 100-acre Gujarat Space Park near Sanand is being developed to attract space technology companies, with Azista Aerospace investing Rs 500 crore to set up a small satellite manufacturing unit.
