The US Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) announced that employers can file H-2B visa applications starting January 1, 2026, for temporary, non-agricultural jobs beginning April 1, 2026. Applications submitted before January 1 will be rejected. For jobs starting April 1, a random selection process will be used for applications filed January 1-3, 2026, to ensure fairness. The H-2B visa allows foreign workers for seasonal or short-term roles, with a maximum stay of three years.
