Amid escalating conflict in the Middle East following US and Israeli strikes on Iran, commercial flights from Gulf airports like Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been disrupted or suspended. Wealthy travelers are increasingly chartering private jets, paying up to approximately Rs 3.2 crore (around 200,000 euros) for urgent flights to Europe. Many are traveling overland—sometimes up to 10 hours—to safer airports in Saudi Arabia or Oman to catch these flights. The surge in demand and limited aircraft availability have driven charter prices sharply higher, reflecting urgency and operational challenges rather than luxury preferences.
