Western Railway Completes 6th Line Between Kandivali and Borivali, Plans More Local Trains

Western Railway has completed the 3.21-km 6th Line between Kandivali and Borivali, marking the end of Phase-I of the Mumbai Central-Borivali 6th Line project. This development allows segregation of long-distance and suburban trains, easing congestion and improving punctuality on the Western Railway suburban network. Following successful inspections and trials, additional local train services are planned, with full operational authorization pending completion of compliance procedures.
