
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has agreed to supply Meta Platforms with up to 6 gigawatts of AI chips over five years, in a deal valued at up to $60-$100 billion. The agreement includes warrants allowing Meta to acquire up to 10% of AMD's stock, contingent on performance milestones. Shipments of AMD's MI450 chips are expected to begin in the second half of 2026. Meta will continue using chips from AMD, Nvidia, and its own custom designs to support diverse AI workloads amid growing data center investments.
