
In Q3 of fiscal year 2025-26, India sold 12.76 lakh passenger vehicles and 56.96 lakh two-wheelers nationwide, according to SIAM data. Maharashtra led passenger vehicle sales with 1.58 lakh units (12.4% market share), followed by Uttar Pradesh. In two-wheelers, Uttar Pradesh topped with 8.62 lakh units (about 15% of sales), driven by rural demand and infrastructure growth. The Western Zone, including Maharashtra and Gujarat, remained the most active region for both segments, reflecting varied regional demand patterns.
