Konkan Railway Advances Track Doubling Survey and Implements Monsoon Safety Measures
Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) is finalizing a survey for a 263-km track doubling project covering Thokur-Mookambika Road and Vaibhavwadi-Majorda sections, with a proposal expected soon. Concurrently, KRCL has activated its annual monsoon timetable from June 15 to October 20, 2026, implementing speed restrictions and deploying 657 personnel. Extensive monsoon preparedness measures include slope stabilization, drainage improvements, real-time monitoring, and emergency response readiness to ensure safe train operations across the challenging Konkan region.
