Kerala recorded its highest-ever single-day liquor sales on New Year's Eve, December 31, with the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco) selling 125.64 crore worth of alcohol. This marks a significant increase from the previous year's sales of 108.71 crore. Over 2.07 lakh cases of liquor, beer, and wine were sold, with the Kadavanthra outlet in Kochi reporting the highest sales. The current financial year's cumulative sales have also surpassed last year's figures.
