India has finalized trade agreements with the UK and Oman, enhancing its economic and strategic ties. The UK deal offers improved market access for Indian textiles, apparel, engineering goods, pharmaceuticals, and services, eliminating tariffs on 99% of Indian exports. In return, India will reduce duties on select UK luxury items like Scotch whisky. The Oman pact further strengthens India's presence in the Gulf region, crucial for energy, remittances, and logistics.
