Andhra Pradesh recorded a 5.78% year-on-year growth in net GST collections in December 2025, reaching an all-time high of 2,652 crore for the month. This growth occurred despite GST rate reductions and the withdrawal of compensation cess. Officials attributed the increase to higher consumption, improved compliance, and stronger enforcement. For the ninth consecutive month, collections exceeded the previous year's figures, surpassing the national average growth rate and ranking second among southern states.
