Tata Motors has launched its new 1.5-liter turbocharged Hyperion T-GDI petrol engine for its Safari and Harrier SUVs. The company aims to shift consumer perception from diesel to petrol power, emphasizing the engine's performance, refinement, and fuel efficiency. Chief Product Officer Mohan Savarkar highlighted the engine's strong low-end torque and smooth drivability, designed to meet upcoming BS7 emission standards and offer a competitive alternative to diesel.
