
Andhra Pradesh is advancing India's first and the world's largest green ammonia project at Kakinada, developed by AM Green with a $10 billion investment. The facility, converting an existing ammonia-urea complex, aims for a 1.5 million tonnes annual capacity by 2030, with phased commissioning starting in 2027. Supported by 7.5 GW renewable energy and pumped hydro storage, it targets exports to Germany, Japan, and Singapore, creating thousands of jobs and positioning India as a green energy exporter.
